Dave Torres is a veteran entrepreneur and technology leader with nearly three decades of experience building and scaling companies at the intersection of automation, advanced manufacturing, and global business services. With a career rooted in innovation and execution, Dave has consistently brought transformative solutions to complex industrial challenges, particularly in the semiconductor and display technology sectors.

In 1996, Dave co-founded Motion Automation Systems, where he served as President. The company specialized in robotic material handling systems for silicon wafer process automation, developing cutting-edge solutions for semiconductor fabs, including fully automated thermal reactor loading systems. His ability to identify emerging needs in high-tech manufacturing environments set the foundation for his future ventures.

He continued this trajectory in 2002 by co-founding NexTech Solutions, where he led global sales and business development. The company focused on Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems used by flat panel display (FPD) fabricators. NexTech’s technology enabled precise detection of microscopic defects in devices such as displays, RfIDs, and photovoltaics. In 2010, he launched nTact, where he served as CEO. nTact developed thin film deposition systems for large-format FPD substrates, further expanding Dave’s expertise in delivering critical equipment for high-growth tech sectors.

In 2013, Dave shifted his focus to business services by founding Vanguard Pacific Outsourcing, where he currently serves as CEO. With operations based entirely in the Philippines, the company provides remote administrative support services including accounting, customer service, and product support. By leveraging low overhead and a scalable offshore model, Vanguard Pacific offers clients industry-leading pricing and flexibility—continuing Dave’s legacy of innovation, this time in the realm of operational efficiency and outsourcing.
